Was
born in Mexico City , in 1935. He received his Law Degree
from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1958.
In December 1959, Mr. Lopez received a Diploma in "Reforms
to the Mexican City ".
In 1952, Mr. Lopez and the group of fellow classmates lobbied to
promote the foundation of the Autonomous University of Baja California.
In 1962 he was founder of the prestigious law firm "Alvarado,
Lopez, Rubio & Moncada" where he practiced commercial,
business, foreign investment, labor and civil litigation law. In
1975 Mr. Lopez founded the Law School of the Autonomous University
of Baja California and was the Dean of that school until 1978.
Was assistant lieutenant
governor of the state of Baja California from 1980-1983.
From 1984 to 1986 he served as the mayor of the La Mesa
delegation of the city of Tijuana . From 1987 to 1989 he
served as Assistant State Attorney for the State of Baja
California . Mr. Lopez is serving as President of the Law
School Faculty Association from the Autonomous University
of Baja California.
Mr. Lopez is a founding
member and ex president of the Emilio Rabasa Bar Association.
Mr. Lopez has twice been pre candidate to run for the Mayor
of Tijuana. The University of Baja California published
a paper of his on the "Authentic History of the Foundation
of the University of Baja California (Gained Steps)",
his book called "Introduction to Law School " is
currently in fifth edition and has been used by first semester
students at the law school of the same university. From
1962 to 1974 Mr. Lopez was a teacher of "Universal
Literature and History of Mexico" at a local college.
From 1975 to 1996 Mr. Lopez was a member of the law school
faculty as honorable teacher in Introduction and Civil Procedures.
In 1997 Mr. Lopez retired from teaching. During his career,
Mr. Lopez has acquired broad experience in his more than
forty years of experience.
